Amby, responding to your post now on the previous page - it should be less a matter of good faith and more one of awareness and courtesy. You can't have missed all the discussion about this. I specifically requested at least a PM from anyone unable or unwilling to join 7 & 8. I'm on my phone now and not going back to search for it, but it must have been weeks ago by now. You've ignored attempts to help clarify what the delays were about.

I think we all understand that if you've got 2 games going which require significant time and thought, we won't be starting another. Since you've acknowledged that this isn't the case currently, there's no point in you using that argument in relation to games 7 and 8.

Please also see my recent post about the spirit versus the letter of the 2-game limit. If you've got 30 units in one game and 18 in another then by all means, exercise your right to the game limit. If you've got 6 in one game that's approaching its conclusion, and refuse to allow the next two to get off the ground until it's literally finished, then you are cumulatively going to add several months to this tournament because of a series of 6-move finishes. By the time the games fill, get paused for nation shuffling, and you find yourself with a dozen orders to enter, we're talking weeks of passed time. I'm asking that you help shave off some of those weeks between 2-game sets when your required attention to current games is not substantial.

Doc - I hadn't responded to this forum thread sooner as I had ages ago and had indicted at the time that I'd finished in one game but was going in another. I did my bit so pretty much let the thread do its own thing assuming that folks would just pop on in, and advise where they were up to. From my perspective at the time this felt like a perfectly fine approach.

But its clear that the thread went off on a totally different tangent, so I'm happy I spotted it when I did.

Not sure what the fuss is about. The games are going now, so lets all sort it out on the board.

BTW, are the countries allocated our countries for the game, or go we need to be reallocated?

Turan serms to be a great supporter of city states.

It hasn't drawn because of those city states.

With sum of squares, those city states are actually beneficial for the scoring of non-Turan people, counting as 1+1 rather than 67+69 towards the pool split...
