Yes, mongoose, I think it's also the place to report bugs / errors / mislinked borders / glitches and every problem that involves linking a gameID on the main forum, since talking about ongoing games on the forum is not a good thing.

It is a great idea. The only thing about not making open to everyone is that the Mods will then get 32 of the players from WWIV saying there is a bug/problem. (The other 2 either benfit from the bug or have just NMR!)

The other thing is that if you are accused of something, I think in the interests of justice, you should know of what you are accused.

Is there any problem with making it open?

1. Usually if there is a bug (even in a WWIV game) I get only one report (from the player that is effectedby the bug).
2. Also if you want the Mods to check for a Multi in a game its nothing other people should see (esp. if its not a Multi/Meta after some investigation).
3. I can't keep up with all the PMs I get at the moment so I need to distribute the work on some more people.

@Canaduh: As it is now, or should I say before hand, cheating accusations would either be PMed to a mod, or emailed to the mod email.

Even in those circumstances the player wouldn't be contacted unless the mods found sufficient evidence to suggest that they were indeed cheating.

The only difference between the old method and new one is:
1) all cheating accusations/bug reports are routed to the same place, making it easier for us to use.
2) The mods page is on the site, and mods get a notification whenever someone posts there, making it easier for us to stay on top of them and probably quicker response times.
3) All mods have access to the thread, rather then just one of us in the case of a PM. This will allow for better coordination between us mods.

So overall from the players perspective nothing has changed other then where you need to send the message, but from the mods perspective its a much better method of dealing with all the bug reports and cheating accusations.

By player I mean suspect, as in the one suspected of cheating.

Fair enough - just making sure this has been thought out. And I fully appreciate all the work that Oli and the Mods do.
