Well I'm already signed up but this would make it easier for me to be more diplomatically active and assure my participation.

I strongly oppose 2 days per phase for the early games. The world and haven games would take a ridiculously long time to conclude with 2 days/phase, and it would drastically reduce the interest people have in such a long term affair. Heck, half the people playing might quit within the year or more this would take.

I suggest 1 day per phase for the larger games (despite the more common NMRs caused by it), and move to 2 days per phase once the size of games has been whittled down.

I agree with drano019, 2 day phases are too much for the biggest maps even though the games are going to be concluded much earlier than usually thanks to the whittle down system.

Eliminating half the people on the world map is still going to take a very long time. Assuming that there will be a retreat phase for nearly every phase and also a build phase every year, it'll take 10 days for a single year. Considering games have taken anywhere from 10-12 years to whittle down to about 13 - 15 players, we're talking anywhere from 100 to 120 days just for ONE of the many games in this tournament.

I don't know about everyone else, but a tournament that'll take a third of a year for one game, and likely about a year in total is too long for me.

They should be 1day 1 hours phases, cuz i might not be able to make a phase everyday.

I thought it was 36 hours. I vote 2 days. I like to communicate and work 10 hours a day sometimes 6 days a week.

There are merits to making either longer or shorter phases, but those who signed up should have noticed that they were signing up for 36 hour phases. So, they should be satisfied without any changes being made. Those who have yet to sign up could ask for a phase length change but unless a lot of people do, it won't happen.
