May I ask: did you have other experiences about Diplomacy before this site?

I have a lot of Dip experience. FTF in the 70-80's. dpjudge in the late 90's and early current century. phpDip several years ago and I'm still active on webDip.

As you can see, Turkey’s sight changes year by year depending on where his SCs and his units are displaced.

I don't know about the mentor part. I've just played and lost a lot. I am already in a FoW game and it may be my favorite variant. I just hope I don't embarrass myself.

Sounds like you could mentor him on how to lose more often, then? The rest of us would like that ;)

For the sake of transparency, fellow players of gameID=28601 (and possibly those of game V ), I’m listing my powers as GM:

I can draw the game
I can cancel the game
I can pause/extend the game
I can make public a private game and viceversa (???)
I can force someone of you in Civil Disorder (don’t provoke me, eh eh eh)
I can change the game speed
I can disable some vote buttons (I won’t use this for any reason)
I can alter the nature of game messaging regular/public/gunboat (I won’t use this either)

I never took part as a GM in a FoW game and neither the Vdip Moderators were sure about it...so we just decided to go for it:
it sounds like a joke, but as a GM I don’t know a heck about the game itself… as same as an external observer. I don’t know who is who, I can’t see who messages who, I can’t see a single territory disclosed from the fog.

However. The game is filled by mature players. As far as I remember, the first episode flowed without significant communication issues.
Should issues happen, please PM the player who did mistake in communication. Should issues repeat again, PM the player and PM me.
In that case I’ll ask for the help of the Mods in order to take action at my discretion.

This is not a disclaimer by any means. Just saying that if I’ll need to take action I will… It will just take some more time than it should’ve taken if I had the game completely revealed.
