Looking for a replacement in a rule variant game on discord
(but the game is played in French) (but the variant is great)
This is the third edition of the "Espionage Dip" variant - not the old play-by-mail version with spying units, the newer discord version with spying players.
My question is, is there a way to use the website or any computer program to input orders for a speedier turn resolution? Is it 'legal' to make 10 accounts to input the orders or is there a way to solo moderate a game to help with this process?
In an effort to compromise the pro-ads versus anti-ads for games: Post here for your non-live games to cut down on the number of ads but still advertise games. Post game link, WTA or PPSC, and the bet. Note: this doesn't count for special rules games.

Hey yall. I have a variant design that I like but I dont really have a ton of time to make one myself. Is there someone who does that? I can credit you as co-creator.
I'm planning to leave the site but want to stay in one game (not one I'm doing well in, it's for diplomatic reasons as well as it being a very, very long game, 9 months and counting). None of my positions are doomed; otherwise I'd just Civil Disorder out of them.
Are you interested in large scale variants with lots of imbedded historical context? If so, signups for Medieval Diplomacy A1 have opened! Don't miss out on the fun! https://discord.gg/ZNjmPP6JUg
I’ve noticed an influx of players who intentionally submit nothing but hold orders for years on end until they are eliminated, even when they’re not in hopeless positions. Often these players take over strong positions in large games, only to act as though their country is in civil disorder but without giving anyone else the chance to take over the position.
Which variant was the first to introduce sealanes? They're very popular in larger variants to allow more fleets to be in the sea at once, but I'm curious as to where they first showed up.
I've come up with a six-player variant that's set in the African Great Lakes region before colonization. It features some rules like portage where armies can transport fleets across land that mean it can't be implemented here. I'm hoping to run a test game on Discord if anyone is interested: https://discord.gg/nHCducMs
Here we will start taking names for whoever wants to play Mitomon’s version of Gobble Earth Teams. The game will be anonymous and have random country assignments. These are the teams:
Large Scale Medieval Variant looking for interested in players! (Discord)
Medieval Diplomacy is looking to run 1-2 games this september! It's a massive European variant set in the year 1201. Featuring very cool mechanics™️ like crusades, excommunication, multiple player holy roman dysfunction, you are sure to have a good time. (Alacavre is a joke in case you don't know, Frozen Dog ;) )
Public press is interesting but not often played, so it's hard to give some advices by experience. From the few I have tested, it is important that the map is relatively crowded and the nations not very far from each others but intricated.
6 players: - Imperium Diplomacy can be very fun in public press, especially at the start. However, if some people are dying just after the first autum, it may be not very fun as a game with friends.
7 players: - 1900 is a really incredible map, at least for standard press (there is a PDF explaining it in details). I would guess that it's maybe very good as well for a public press game. - Classic Touchy may be fun for a public press game, based on what I've said in the first paragraph. - Same thing with Pure, but even more exacerbated mess. - Spice Islands and Zeus are actually interesting maps (although Zeus is really ugly).
8 players: - Habelya is also known as a good map, but same here I don't know if it's good for public press. - South American Supremacy is pretty unbalanced but I find it interesting to play (at least sometimes...).
Maybe I'm missing some others. Hopefully you will appreciate one of these in this list. And hopefully I'm not basing my list too much on standard press diplomacy... ;)
7 PLAYERS * Classic - Fog of War would be outrageous with public press * Abstraction III is a nice twist on Classic that synthesizes a few good ideas from other variants
8 PLAYERS * Sengoku is a great play via that it’s an islands war * Europe 1939 is similarly cool to Abstraction III, but is more influenced by Modern Diplomacy II (one of favorite variants of all-time) * Africa is different and fun *. Celtic Britain is also fun
6 PLAYERS * Greek Diplomacy just works and has a really neat simple bidding process for starting supply centers that adds a lot * Imperium Diplomacy is a nice wild change of pace
Colonial is pretty good IMO, but it's too big. Germany 1648 is a headache, but I guess it might be fun in public press. Pure is really stupid, so is FUBAR. My biased ass wants to say South American Supremacy is good but I've actually never played it. I'll go create a game.
