While it isn't a bannable offense, I requested that people PM me.
Guaroz asked for our official stance and our response is we don't officially have one. Its frowned upon (by some of the mods) and while we wont punish it, I would rather get PMs.
As I said to Guaroz when he asked in the mod forum. As a mod, I can see the names of people in anon games that I am not in (this is why I will never join a choose your own country anon game), if I join a game, I advertise it, if someone PMs me I advertise it. This way no information is exchanged. If you PM me, I already knew you were in that game, no anonymity is violated, if I advertise because I am in the game, no anonymity is violated because you guys wont know if I am just advertising, or if I am really in the game.
Therefore the only way to assure that the anonymity of the game is kept, is to have either a mod or a friend post it.
On this note, I ask that you PM me and me alone. Other mods have expressed concern of not having the time to respond to advertise requests, when I personally don't mind spending the <2 minutes it takes to do this.
