it just takes more plays i think, once G and F realize they have to work together to prevent an austrian solo, it will balance out and we'll see Austria's eliminations spike

i do see how it is unfair, but for smart players, the unfairness can be rectified

so perhaps we could discuss why it's unfair and thus help players paly better...

i mean, if you look at Austria v France, i think you'll find it's almost even, but a lot of the fighting is over germany, in this version, with units in germany, and a german player who can oppose french advances, austria can easily expand south and into italy with little opposition... while the other two fight... it's all about NOT letting austria win while you waste units scrapping over a tiny patch of land (bel,ruhr,bur - say)
