We'll be able to do at least a 6-player map, maybe more. I really didn't think too much about this, but I thought we could make a list of memes which wouldn't be too hard to play as and then assign one to each country. Then, whichever country you get determines your meme. Any thoughts?

I like the idea, but it would have to be meme's that all players agree on that way nobody gets stuck with one that's kind of crappy/to hard to do so that it stays fun... so say for ex. if we did a classic map(7 players) then all 7 players would have to agree on the 7 memes and which country got those memes...
another option would be we come up with say 2X or 3X the number of players worth, assign each country 2 or 3, and then whoever got that country could pick one of those 2 or 3 to do, that way there would be a little more mystery and choice involved...

We definitely need to keep some sort of mystery factor involved so that people can't exploit Good Guy Greg or be aware of Scumbag Steve all game.

gman hit the nail on the head. If you announce who's who from the start, certain memes are going to be exploited (GGG and SS are the best examples). But you don't want to restrain creativity by banning certain memes which are too easy to exploit if someone uses them. So, like I suggested, have people pick their own meme, and use it throughout the game, but not reveal who it is. No harm in keeping your memes anonymous - and hey, you can even have a guessing game at the end as a little bonus.

For anyone who does the internet at all, any guessing game shouldn't be hard.

You all are starting to complicate a very simple idea:
Pick a meme, use pictures if you really want to, keep harsh language down, and remain anonymous if you're not using pictures or choosing to be blatantly obvious.
