out of curiosity, what kind of world map variant are you working on? or were you the one working on the 1914 map?

@Hellenic Riot: In some paint-programs you can choose how to handle the quality the picture. No interpolation does not touch the colors. Floys-Steinberg and all the others change the colors. Some programs call it "duplicate pixels" too,

do either GIMP or Paint have a feature like that?

If you set interpolation to none in the gimp resize-dialog it won't touch the colors.
In Paint.net it's called next neighbor (or similar. I have a german version).

I have an old 1914 map with complex rules. Like it should play like a low tourney level game with basic diplomacy rules

btw Riot i hate the new paint software that comes with vista. most of the time, it automatically changes colours when a image is saved

Yeah I changed from PAINT.NET to Gimp because it did that once.

i edit images in PAINT and save/upload them in GIMP. is that strange?

It's more accurate, if you upload it so it can be playtested I'll help with that. I'm still unsure on France but I can't really see how to fix it...unless you made an Azores province near the western edge of the map, giving an extra neutral to look at?

Well if you want to be slightly more accurate, Syria was actually French. As it's not an SC its a purely aesthetic change though :P

Airborne, which is a better Home center for Italy, Sicily or Venice?
I've been working on the borders for the large map which has taken a large amount of effort

Its very historically inaccurate:
Czech became German the year following Austria, so why is Czech brown but not yellow?
The soviet border is the 1940 border, following its annexation of Latvia and Lithuania which happened AFTER its invasion of Poland with the help of Germany.
It took the Eastern half of Poland in late September, 2ish weeks following the German occupation of Warsaw. It has the eastern half of Poland but Germany doesn't have the west.

Italian North Africa bordered British Egypt

I have no idea why Italy doesn't own Venice or Piedmont

If the nation in the Balkans is Yugloslavia the nation never owned albania or bordered the Aegean sea, and at the start of the war its Northern border was Germany.

The Caucauses was Soviet since the end of world war one, so why is it neutral?

France owned most of North Africa, and I don't think North Africa should have that many sc

I would say Venice would be a better home SC for Italy, being able to contest with Russia, Red Colour and Germany in Central Europe and I assume that Italy has Tripoli as a home SC

Yugoslavia was initially just the Balkan region, but someone suggested it become just Yugoslavia, so i didn't check, what if i recolor the SC directly north of Yugoslavia and make it red and remove the Aegean Coast?

Whats with the gap in French Africa on a territory that should still not be a sc? (The center of the Sahara desert had no historical value, there is a reason all the fighting was situated on the coast.
The Soviet-Polish border still needs to be fixed...
I think Finland should be a Germany sc to signify the problems the fins gave the soviets in the winter war.
