30 Nov 23 UTC | Autumn, 1955: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
05 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1956: uh why is there a fleet between Vientiane and Luang Prabang |
05 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1956: I think it’s a glitch. It’s supposed to be in South Thailand Coast. I messaged Fake AI but haven’t heard back. |
08 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1957: Fake Al (Gamedirector): Thanks for letting me know. It should be fixed next time the game processes. |
18 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1959: Wait… how can the fleet at Saigon support inland to a non adjacent province…? |
18 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1959: Look carefully |
18 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1959: It is supporting to the other direction |
18 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1959: Ah I see that now |
21 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1961: I think it's time I lay out everything on the table. North Vietnam, we would certainly hope for a draw but your actions in addition to your material advantage gave us the suspicion of a potential solo. If you want to fight, so be it, but so far everything is defensive and our hope is that we can end with a draw (as a war would benefit no one!) |
21 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1961: I can't hope for a solo. I was and am supportive of a draw |
21 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1961: It is my opinion that Laos should take Virachey, while North Vietnam takes Saigon. Do you two have any problems with that? |
21 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1961: sure |
21 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1961: I do. |
21 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1961: Sounds good. |
22 Dec 23 UTC | GameMaster: Laos voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
22 Dec 23 UTC | Good game all! |
23 Dec 23 UTC | Good game! |
23 Dec 23 UTC | I think this game produces a dynamic of north vs south that the north inevitably has an advantage in. For me, I have to have a balance of fleets and armies that basically precludes an invasion of Laos (which would require greater army share). Also chokepoints. And an alliance with South Veitnam would be additionally hampered by the fact we can't actually work together on anything. By the time I'm better positioned to again consider attacking Laos (hence why I built so many armies), the alliance structure has solidified such that any move from me probably means Thailand gets the solo instead of me. |
