And anyone who has been talking me during end game phases knows that I'm not worried about the numbers. I won't hold the numbers against anyone, most of us could vouch for one of more of those wanting in due to in game experiences. Not getting the solos doesn't mean they are incompetent. Personally, the reliability numbers mean more to me since it aggravating when missed orders make us wait. And the more experienced players "tend to" get their orders in on time.

Amby, I am out for now, but I appreciate the consideration. Hopefully I can get the next one. I am really not a great player - one solo..... one. But, I am with Samj in that I am definitely reliable and I appreciate that in other players as well.

The more I think about it, the more I think I should probably sit this one out. My classes at university are only picking up in intensity, and I've already extended 2 games I'm in. It wouldn't be fair to everyone else if they had to wait should I be in the game. I'd definitely spectate it though.

Congratulations!!! Very impressive! I look forward to seeing you keep that average when you've reached 100 games. It is great to see we have a genius in our midst. I hope those that worry about stats take it as a challenge. Myself, I don't have that drive to be number 1. Sure I enjoyed the wins I've gotten, few as they are, but it's the camaraderie with other players that keeps me coming back. I'm only saying this because you quoted me. My first message here was that I don't consider myself to be a "big hitter" because of my numbers. But I usually make it enjoyable in text to work with me, and even to fight against me depending on your attitude. Keep pushing to stay on top, you appear to have the skills to get there!

If the offer's still available, and if you'll have me, I'm interested. I don't honestly know that I'm as much of a big hitter but I'd like to think I've done pretty well in my fair share of games (and I've been playing for the better part of a decade).

My barely 1800 rating (at this point) is likely also slightly inaccurate considering the amount of CDs I take over - but to be fair in almost all of them I take over an obviously losing position, especially recently (and that's kind of the point of it as well, I want to see what I can make out of a losing battle). So take from that what you will.

I definitely don't want to take up space assuming other better players will join though, if there isn't room for me than I'm fine with just spectating but I'm happy to join if you'll have me :)

If you want to pad your 'win' stat over a large amount of games, play more 1v1s. Not only are they generally faster, but even when evenly matched your win ratio will trend towards 50%.

Looks like there's a good spread of maps being considered, so please count me out of a Rulebook press game unless there are specifically 18 people and adding me for Haven would saving needing to cut someone to fit in one of the World Diplomacy maps.

pretty late to the party, but I'm definitely in if there's space for me. I'd say my vdip points are a bit inflated as I've played a great deal of gunboat (played during college, gunboat makes the time commitment much easier), but am all for whatever the group decides. it's rare to have more than a few people over 1800 or so in a game; it'd be cool to see how this plays out.

as I look further up this chain, Miari should have a spot in the game before I do.

Braxton, GB wins are still wins as far as I'm concerned. 1v1s are different though-those have considerably better odds than say, ER GB for example.

Reliability rating is the only measure: Commitment is everything.
