What happens if the player doesn't submit orders for consecutive turns? Will the player's pieces go to Civil Disorder or will the game just lock down, or something else entirely?

I've looked around on the site but haven't been able to discern what happens in this case.

Settings should be the standard settings I think. On the page of the game it reads:

2 excused NMR / regain after 5 turn(s) / extend the first 3 turn(s)

The usual process is for a player to simply not log orders in and in your case, they need to do that twice. The position then CD's and will be listed as an available takeover. The problem here is that any player might take it and that might not suit them or your group. Also, 2 lost turns may be annoying for the remaining players.

For a player to voluntarily leave and be replaced requires a Mod to do that personally, but if you have a replacement player available, likely a Mod will do that for you, allowing you all to continue your game.

So recruit a new player for your group, make sure they have an active account and have your leaving player supply this information (plus game number of course) through the link at the top right 'Modforum'.

If it's a group of friends playing the game, then probably it's a private game? In that case, you need to password to take over the position. So the power would just remain in CD, unless you find a replacement

The other option you have is to organise a replacement before anyone goes into CD and swap them out using the country switch tool, which the departing player has in their account settings.

Remember, the country switch tool is only for temporary replacements. Contact the Mods for a permanent solution.
