Question for Alternative History nerds

In January of 1920, when Kolchak resigned in favor of Semyonov, a Japanese puppet, what would have happened if the Japanese had gotten Semyonov's Buryat puppet state to roll up the Trans-Siberian Railroad as they withdrew from Omsk?

How do I create a game here where I can test the game engine?

Request for a game sitter

I currently have a position in the DSA game (gameID=41200), however, I expect to be out of cell reception from the 18th-27th (possibly ending a little earlier). If anyone is interested in watching the game for me for a while please reply below, and I will DM you. I can't tell you the country before you agree to take it, but I am not doing badly.

Forced extend?

In this game, the mods forced a 5 day pause because of an issue a player had. I believe the mods overstepped their authority by not letting the players vote themselves on whether to extend/pause the game. Instead of a message unilaterally pausing the game, I would have appreciated a message explaining the situation and giving the option to extend.

Baffled noob needs help..!

I tried to create my first game but there was no option to play bots that I could see?
So I came to the forum with the intention of searching for an answer but all I can see is a list of recent posts with no mention of categories or search option.

Welcome to Vdip!

We don't have bots, webdip has that.
We don't have forum categories, webdip has that.
What we do have, is a ton of variants and an excellent community. Just start a game, and people will more that likely join.

Hi and thanks for the friendly welcome.
I see now why I was confused.
I accessed the FAQ section via the help button and assumed the contents would be applicable to this site but but for some inexplicable reason it is aimed at webDiplomacy.

Hi FxFocus!

Some of your confusion is probably because the source code for vDip is pulled from webdip. So sometimes things don't quite matchup when webdip does updates (for example the change to a new forum type and bots). We have some of the same wording, but it just doesn't apply to our site if we don't do the same updates as webdip does.

As Macca said, here we focus on tons of variants! Hopefully you can find something you enjoy and dive right in!

Abandoning a game peacefully

Is it possible to peacefully transfer a game to another player without ruining my reliability record? I'm a bit busy with stuff in life and want to give up a game in an ok-position. How do I do that?

(Or does anyone simply want to take my place? I know that the transfer option works but I don't know anyone to give it to)

In-game Chat Bug

When you write smth in the PRE-GAME chat of GUNBOAT game you'll find out that your message was written twice. Anybody knows how to fix it or tell me the line in a code where the bug is?

Divided States Team Game
