Dear fellow vDippers,
To keep the site running as a place to play dozens of different variants, some administrational work is needed. Some of you might know that the current moderator team is working at the edge of its capacity. Hence we are looking for new members to support the team and give something back to the community.
Please shoot us a message in the mod forum if you
- are motivated to help us as a member of the moderator team,
- are available for moderator duties on a daily basis and can flexibly spend up to several hours a week,
- are an experienced member of the site, so you have basic knowledge about the website and its functionality and have good knowledge of the game rules and the common variants,
- are willing to learn how to handle the moderator tools provided by the website and
- do not hesitate to take your own initiative to find solutions for the problems provided to you.
As a moderator your main tasks are
- processing of any requests which reaches the moderator team (e.g. rule questions, pause / extend requests, cheating suspicions, bug reports (no dev work)),
- routinely checking games for cheating,
- performing in-depth cheating investigations with the help of the tools provided by the website,
- occasionally intervening as forum / game moderator if things are escalating.
We might provide live training sessions to a new moderator if your time zone is fitting. Anyway most of the relevant information is available in written form and internal questions and discussions are always welcomed. It will probably be easy for you to become a full member of the mod team soon.
Please provide some short motivation in your application explaining why you would be a suitable candidate.
