After the hostilities ended in Western Europe, World War I continued :
1° In and around Russia between the Red Russians and :
• the White Russians ;
• many local armies of governments who fought without success for their national independence like Ukraine, Bielorussia and many more ;
• Georgia (which was independent between 1918 and 1921), Armenia (which was independent between 1918 and 1920), Azerbaijan (which was independent between 1918 and 1920) ;
• armies of countries who fought successfully for their national independance : Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania ;
• Poland and Romania who fought successfully to achieve substantial territorial gains ;
• Yugoslavia (aka Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes until 1929), Germany, Czechoslovakia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, the USA, the United Kingdom and several parts of the British Empire (like India and South Africa), Canada, Australia, Mongolia, China, Japan ;
• volunteers from many countries like, for example, Sweden ;
• I may have forgotten some other belligerants.
The last fights of the Russian Civil War ended in central Asia in 1923.
2° Simultanouesly, the war with Turkey involved : the Turkish National Movement, the Ottoman Empire, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Italy, France, the United Kingdom.
The Turkish War of Independance was ended with the Treaty of Lausanne signed on July 24 1923.
