Fog of War - why are the orders visible?
After all it kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it? All it does currently is remove the graphic facility.

THE POPE'S GREAT PEACE PROPOSAL

The Pope had requested that all of the political leaders of Europe's Big 7 (England, France, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Russia, and Italy) meet in Geneve, Switzerland. Each leader will be required to bring something. England: Tea and Crumpets Germany: Beer and Sausages France: Champagne and Cheese Austria: Austrian Foods and Drinks Turkey: Turkish Delights
Italy: Pasta and Wine Russia: Vodka and most importantly of all the Russian gymnast goat for a great performance. The Pope hopes this small party in great Swiss scenery and a performance by a goat will greatly ease tensions, and most importantly, get all the leaders so drunk, they can no longer go to war. If all countries agree to the Pope's proposal, he will send his fleets of pegeusi, griffins, and unicorns to pick up the leaders and take them to Geneve.

The Pope wishes for a diplomatic vote on this subject. Vote Yay or Nay for this proposal below. Majority rules and if voted for, all shall met in Geneve and bring what they are required to bring a post. Also, if voted Yay upon, all will meet in a seprate thread and discuss there feelings about issues in Europe right now, while drinking a variety of beverages and eating a variety of foods. This thread will only be created if voted Yay upon.

Majority wins! :D
Everyone must vote first
The polls are still open!
Turkey gets to take a Griffin to Geneve for giving that Yay, the rest (aside from France who has unofficially voted) get to ride on pegusi

The Sultan thanks the Pope for his generous transport, and in response I will bring along a phoenix for the Pope's personal transport. They are extremely fast, and do not be alarmed if it makes a fire and burns itself, a new one appears.
The Pope thanks the Sultan for this generous transport, but the Pope is concerned about one thing, if this thing burns itself, doesn't the Pope catch fire as well if he is riding upon it?

Yay, I say. YAYYYYYY!
3 Yays to 0 Nays, one more Yay and the majority wins.
La Presidente here my friends. Apologies but I was to busy packing the saddlebags of the Pope's unicorn with croissants to realize all this diplomatic chatter was going on in the Forum. The French people vote Yay to the peace accords in Switzerland. We hope it will succeed and avoid the deaths of countless men, but if it fails we can at least have fun at the negotiation table.
Le président I mean! (see England it is not just you who has trouble with the French tongue!)

The German Empire declares war to Russia. Sticking to rules of engagement, attacks are allowed in Fall 1904.
I hate to be a big wet blanket (not that us French usually are), but I do believe England just broke the rules by attacking my proud noble fleet in La Manche when there is no state of war between us.

This is a totally unprovoked attack and I will be bringing to the Swiss Peace Conference my reparation demands due to this blatant breech of the Geneva Convention. I turn to the great European powers to determine a suitable penalty which we can then vote on here for England's breach of the rules for this variant.
That issue and more will be discussed
4 Yays to 0 Nays
Even though the majority has already won, the Pope would still like the other three nations to vote just so we know they have acknowledged the peace conference. We will schedule a date and time soon. The Swiss have agreed to this because the Pope threatened to leave thousands of Swiss Papal Guards unemployed. Until after the conference, the King will be in charge of Italy so the Pope may prepare in Geneve and rest in his lakeside cottage. Remember to read the list and bring beverages and food that will make the peace talks between all nations easier. Thank you.

I don't understand what I vote for. Could someone enlighten me, please? Is this poll about meeting in Switzerland (I vote YES in this case) or about reestablishing peace all over Europe and thus stalemating the game?
Sandmann (969 D)

I posted in the global chat what's my view on the possible rule violation. In short: The English Channel is as much France's costal waters as it mine, so France would have also violated the rule and even earlier if it existed. I say no rule violation done by either side.

The German Empire agrees to the peace conference.

Variant Suggestion
Just a suggestion, but a classic Avalon Hill original diplomacy variant is the Ard-Ri map. I can't find the homepage but there are maps and rules everywhere. It has a few interesting twists like no neutrals, a 100 percent domination win and the Vikings power that begins off-map and has 3 off-map supply centres. Thoughts?

Possible glitch with Mexico in Karibik - Developer help appreciated.
Evening, I've had a bit of an issue in a Karibik game as Mexico. Attempted to move from Merida to Honduras with an army in the fall of '01 and the move didn't go through. There was no opposition or other factors at play. Another player in the game says he heard something about a problem like this. Could someone take a look and see if there is a solution? Otherwise the Mexican position is rather unplayable. Thanks, here is a link to the game:
