OK, after reading the rules.... Would the players/creditors be the ones keeping track of the money and stuff? Also, some of the stuff you said governments can do or creds sound a little confusing.

I would like to try this but I just hope It's something that I don't have to deal too much with the understanding of some of this, for my brain doesn't understand...... partially that I'm 16 and haven't had to deal with this kind of money language.

Ok. Sounds like I could do this, but I think some of the concepts I would need help on. For instance, it's said that governments/players as the countries get to send out $1,000 bonds to creditors.... Well, creditors get money over time but would the governments be able to get anything back out of it?

It makes me think that I shouldn't give out bonds..... Really confusing to me.

the need for issuing bonds is that you get money now.

Say your $30,000 short in building that much needed army, issuing 30 bonds will do the trick

ah ok. But I don't think the bond will ever be gone as it can be passed to other creditors.

I think I'll go through some math here on the map.

Ok, 300k start for govs? Well, after trying to do some calculations, I think it's not hard to keep decent maintenance if you get 3 neuts on your first year.

I think later it may be good to draw at 3 countries unless 2 will stay allied and attack the other.... As the fact that enemy sc's get you little money but all that supply you got left over. I would say that the smaller/closer to home countries have some advantage over a decent sized country.

Alright, I would definitely join this. 1 game as governor and 1 as creditor.

governments start with no money...

Creditors number vary based on the number of creditors.

You can ready for spring, build and retreat. You cannot ready for autumn.

Any number of creditors can join, the more the merrier, however more governments joined then creditors for this game.

Yes, Creditors and Governments are allowed to talk and say whatever they want.

Drano and Ora wanted 1.5 days. So it was changed due to popular demand. However ~1 day into the fall phase I will reset the phase length, so Autumns are now 2.5 days.

Ok. Since this autumn turn is almost done. I guess I'll be having to wait for the next autumn with a full amount of money to spend. And hopefully I'll know what country is selling how many at what maximum rate by then.

Do govts have to declare publically their offers? i'd prefer to make a side deal escaping the menace of Auction. Private offer? I know DonQuigle has already expressed an interest.... ;-)

A little while back, someone mentioned a game type with a king, assassins, knights, and traitors who all had different victory conditions. Does anyone know the game type im referring to in more detail, and if so, would anyone be interested in trying it out?

Spain to North africa

How is this move supposed to be made? There's no option to go by land even though they appear connected. I convoyed with a fleet waiting in western mediteranean and it failed. Is this some sort of glitch?

A game where I am allowed to Meta-Game? O.o

Competition between you and your friends sure is fun, but sometimes its great to team up with them and conquer the world together. Well, if your looking for a game where you can do that then look no further. Sometime next week a game will be starting where you and one friend can team up to conquer the world. It will be a WWIV variant with two day phases. All that is required is that you message the creator, me, what country you are teaming up with.

Messages in a Gunboat

I am playing in a gunboat game right now, but the little envelope has appeared on the screen signifying I have a message. However even when I click the envelope I can not see said message. Anyone have any idea, what is going on or how I can see the message?

Replacement player for the UK and Amazon needed. If someone will be nice enough, the UK isn't in a bad position. This is a team game, and you'd have to respect that, I guess.

Also is there already a thread advertising countries in civil disorder needing to be replaced? If not, should there be a forum thread just for advertising inactive countries?

Creating Teams into variant maps

Until now every Variant maps considers each player independent and able to fight any other automatically.
But could be interesting to develop a way to create forced alliance teams, just like a country split into groups unable to fight each others (being the same nation...) but able to be controlled by different players?
Into the game they could then choose if cohoperating or acting separately, but never being able to steal SCs each others nor dislodging armies and so on...
