Yes, Cornwallis' surrender ... my dad was stationed with the Marines in Yorktown when I was born, I went back to my birthground to William & Mary in Williamsburg for college

On WebDip, this conversation happened. 3 were in Texas and 3 were in Wisconsin. I was in Minnesota 35 minutes from the Wisconsin border and from Texas originally.

Minnesota was the first US state to send troops to fight the Civil War. There was no true US Army back then. Units were raised by the individual states.

Minneapolis is also the birth place of the Supercomputer, synthetic rubber and Post-it notes.....4th among US cities in terms of Fortune 500 Corporate headquarters. The most literate city in the US. St. Paul actually came in 3rd. And of course, home of the artist currently known as Prince.

My parent met because three of my grandparents taught at Ray High School in Corpus Christi.

I personally find Corpus beautiful. Houston is pretty nice. Austin is over-crowded. Dallas-Ft. Worth is nice, but its also very very dangerous...

Nashville is a real nice city. I'd have to say my favorite city I have been to is probably Baton Rouge. Not sure why, but I love it.
