20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): I'm assuming everyone's familiar with the concept of a Treaties Game now... |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (JakeWade): Explain to me again? |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (JakeWade): Explain to me again? |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): Basically, all alliances, DMZ's, etc must be declared on global chat. Also, you can only attack a nation (move or support move to an already-occupied territory) if you declare war at least 1 turn before, in global chat. All alliances declared on global must be kept unless war is declared by a nation on another. The the only thing that can be broken whenever is a DMZ (which must be declared on global chat). If a DMZ is broken, you can attack that nation who broke it immediately without declaring war. Think that's about it... |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): Also, war can only be declared in a Spring Diplomacy or Autumn Diplomacy phase, i.e. not in builds, retreats or pre-game. |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): Any agreement declared on global chat is called a 'treaty', whether friendly or hostile, and they should be agreed via private chat before being declared on global. |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (The Moran): wait, so I can declare the DMZ agreement void immediately? BUT I have to mention it on the global chat same turn? cool... Also, I'm assuming we're allowed secret alliances, however they're none-official and so breaking them straight off is fine? |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (The Moran): Also, I'm assuming support holding against your 'ally' moving into another nation is a breech and the alliance has to be declared broken before hand? |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): Support holding is a defensive move, not an aggressive one. It doesn't put another nation at risk. The only thing you can't do is move/ support move to a territory that is another nation's, ally or not, whether it's an SC, ocean or just unoccupied but still their land. |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): Btw, NAP's are assumed unless war is declared. |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): But you can make agreements through private chat about what you consider to be a 'breach if alliance'. |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Wicksy27): And moving into a DMZ is just another way of declaring war, except you don't have to mention it on private chat. |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (The Moran): Gotcha (Y) |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (JakeWade): What does DMZ stand for? :') |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (Smooblymoobs): de-militarized zone |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: (JakeWade): (Y) |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: Soviet Russia create an alliance with the UK and we will take down Germany together. |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: ... fuck |
20 Feb 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: i declare war on the uk, america and russia. i declare myself and japan to be allies.. no idea where china came into the wars.. and italy is with me until halftime. any questions? |
