20 May 23 UTC Good game!
England and Portugal are heavily favored in this variant…
20 May 23 UTC I'm taking a beating in this round. Good game!
20 May 23 UTC @France: I am not sure about the positionnal advantage but if there is one, it can be compensated by targetting ennemies and making allies. It was total chaos with you attacking everybody...Was fun though.
@England: I broke our partnership early watching you getting comfortable position up North. Nice moves and guesses: well deserved solo.
@Spain: Complicated to play: you push against Portugal: you give a big advantage to England and vis versa...Good fight!

Fun map but visually too messy.
Thanks for the game.
20 May 23 UTC Portugal usually secured Africa easily and England gets North America. Spain and France just have their starting positions too much in the middle.
20 May 23 UTC Good game everyone!

I agree that Portugal and England are much easier to play. Spain at least has South America to be relatively safe in, for France I feel like it's next to impossible not be stuck between everyone. The ocean feels constricted compared to the dense island chains which is interesting.

I had to do so much zooming in, color comparison, and checking army/fleet moves in the variant info. You may have also noticed the big map view is wrong! Units can cover up the SC marker in it, and some territories appear as wrong country, like Azores always looked Portuguese to me.
20 May 23 UTC Still does right now in big map!
20 May 23 UTC If you scroll back to when an army was in Mexico City you'll see it cover the SC marker in big map too, threw me off some when I was planning moves.
