17 Apr 23 UTC	Autumn, 1906: BREAKING NEWS: Sultan Abdul Hamid II executed in Armenia. After years decline of Turkish power on the global stage, the Sultan ordered an attack against Sevastopol this Autumn. An anonymous military leader in the Ottoman regime described the attack as "doomed from the outset" but the Sultan could not be deterred. In the aftermath of the attack, the soldiers of the 1st Armenian Battalion captured the Sultan and put him to summary execution. The Sultan's death has ignited a powder keg underneath the Armenian independence movement which will likely dominate the crumbling remains of the Ottoman empire for years to come.
