It's not anon because guess what, people will still be like "so who are you" if their gonna talk. Anon is more of a playing with strangers thing. It's also a prevention against prejudice, such as knowing someone is good/bad. Oh and apparently there's been a case of someone attacking someone because they IRL hate them.
