08 Aug 22 UTC | Bidding: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
08 Aug 22 UTC | Bidding: haha.... The game was extended as a player didn't enter orders - if you 'save', it'll tick over until the deadline then advance, if all players 'ready, it'll advance as soon as the last player readies up :) looking at it, everyone now has put bids in |

11 Aug 22 UTC | Autumn, 1550 BC.: Don't worry, that's the perk of this game being a learning thing :) I'm around on Sunday and can go through some how to's etc - alternatively drop me a discord message and I can break things down. I'd really recommend reading this: https://www.vdiplomacy.com/intro.php It gives you an overview of moves - for example, your move Olympia -> Ithaca needed a fleet in the Olympian Sea to 'convoy' Olympia -> Ithaca. These can chain (i.e we could have Thassos -> Chalies if the fleet in Thracian Sea, and Aegean Sea, both entered the Convoy Thassos -> Chalies). Ignoring Fleet's convoying units, you can only move to a neighbouring space. An army in Olympia can move to Achaia, Messenia, Sparta, Panon or Argos. A Fleet in Olympia can move 'around the coast' to Achaia or Messenia, but could move into the Olympian Sea. I also saw in your original moves that you 'bumped' a lot of your own troops (i.e Argos -> Achaia and Olympia -> Achaia) - only 1 unit can occupy a space. If you want 1 unit to support another, use the 'support' option (it'll break down like Argos -> Achaia and Olympia support Argos -> Achaia). In terms of territory, and what matters, there's territory which have those little white circles with black dots - they're called Supply Centres (SCs) - the number of them in your colour is how many units you can control (most of us will be building as we've taken more SCs than we have troops - you'll be losing 1 as I pinched Argos, and Byzantium hasn't taken any more SCs so won't be building). On this map you can build on any unoccupied SC you control. |
11 Aug 22 UTC | Autumn, 1550 BC.: Yeaaaaa look, it’s all part of my 400 IQ, 4D chess plan to win, you can’t comprehend it, I’m like Paul mason |
12 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1549 BC.: You're possibly not understanding Social Diplomacy correctly from a Marxism standpoint |
13 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1549 BC.: half my fleets didn't move because of one Persian fleet bouncing them Feels like an important lesson in not sending all your units in a long queue of moves behind each other |
13 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1549 BC.: Okay only 2, not half of them. But I'm still resentful |
