18 Apr 22 UTC | Gg all. Nice draw. |
18 Apr 22 UTC | Gg |
18 Apr 22 UTC | GG all. Was great working with you Italy. But once you started growing too fast, I had to try and limit your expansion to prevent a solo attempt. |
18 Apr 22 UTC | Wow, Italy you decided to draw? I figured you’d go all the way. Thank you Russia for literally keeping me alive. Sorry if I missed any opportunities, but I tried to guess right on a few moves. |
18 Apr 22 UTC | Italy, I had one phase where I could have actually taken Hungary, but I switched which unit was moving there and got a support wrong. Really stupid mistake. But, worked out in the end. Well played. |
19 Apr 22 UTC | I was really confused why Poland and Russia were only attacking me when Italy was the only one not putting a draw vote in. |
19 Apr 22 UTC | I was really annoyed with Poland, cos he attacked me early all the game when I never move an unit against him... so I wanted him eliminated and was looking for a 3 way draw with Russia and France... When France attacked me I thought "lets see if Poland and Russia want to eliminate France and get a draw"... When I see this last polish building at Krakow instead of Hamburg I suppose his next moves were going to be against me, ..and decided to draw. |
19 Apr 22 UTC | No, they actually weren’t, I just had been stabbed in the last two games. And I thought it would be silly of me not to back up Podolia. I figured that at some point either Italy or Russia could decide I was no longer needed and attack. So, it was truly there to avoid a move into Podolia and a potential solo off my SC’s and the open Russian SC’s. There was no offensive planned. I was going to try to get into France. |
19 Apr 22 UTC | The reason that I attacked Italy early in the game, was to maintain good relations with a Russia that could easily have destroyed me at any time. If I helped with Italy then I remained useful. Once it appeared that France was the new target, that is where I was going. But, I wasn’t going to leave my back door wide open in case Italy chose to go through me for a solo win. |
19 Apr 22 UTC | Still not sure why I was the target over Italy....Italy was obviously eyeing a solo. |
19 Apr 22 UTC | A really far away solo. :P |
19 Apr 22 UTC | Thanks to all for an interesting game. Poland, I really appreciated our really good cooperation. Sorry for my mistakes around the Black Sea, which allowed Italy to advance there. France, I was aware of the threat of an Italian solo, but you attacked Edi at the same time you moved against Italy. But now I am glad, that we finished with a draw. |
