20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: Hi all!
20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: Hello everybody!
20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: Hello everybody. I really don’t see how it is beneficial for any of us to lose centers for no reason. Can we collectively negotiate to each get four centers, and collectively agree to destroy anyone that lies during this phase?
20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: But that's part of the fun!
20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: Yeah i disagree
20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: Yes but no?
20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: I guess not
20 Jan 22 UTC Bidding: :c
15 Feb 22 UTC GameMaster: Macedonia voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
15 Feb 22 UTC Draw vote in, gg
15 Feb 22 UTC Me also
15 Feb 22 UTC gg guys!
15 Feb 22 UTC That was a surprisingly quick game.
15 Feb 22 UTC Gg
15 Feb 22 UTC Had some good talks with Macedonia and later Rhodes. I kept being scared for Rhodes' stab potential, tho! But it helped that you didn't build armies, @Rhodes
15 Feb 22 UTC Byzantine a combination of no land mass to keep armies and the stretch of water to cover kept me needing fleets and even still I couldn't protect all the islands. I'd offered Persia to Byzantine so looked to Sparta for land and hoped athens would help secure that but he didn't go along. Athens then ending up the first victim there with Macedonias help.
15 Feb 22 UTC Rhodes, sorry for being dramatic in messages lol. I think I was just in a paranoid mood after Byzantium's movement into Aegean the first turn, combined with me having only four units to start out with. This was my first time playing this variant, in retrospect I think I made pretty bad bids by trying for Ithaca. I should've bid Delphi and Thebes instead of Ithaca
15 Feb 22 UTC That might've had Macedonia staggered, leaving a bigger window for diplomatic actions maybe. Good game tho!
