09 Feb 22 UTC [Prussia]:Good game all! Was worried that France might close in for the solo at times.
09 Feb 22 UTC [USA]:gg
09 Feb 22 UTC [Japan]:Gg
09 Feb 22 UTC [France]:Haha. I never thought I could get to solo. But everyone else did!! Made it very tricky at times. It’s a really rough map - I don’t like being spread across different regions. I had conflict with everyone at some point because I often had no where else to go. And then had to try to make peace after (like Holland which was a great game long alliance - until it wasn’t! What was that about?!)
Just couldn’t get peace with Prussia or USA all the way to the end even though I tried very hard to back off (I guess USA did accept that in the end). But I also was trying to eliminate Britain and the moves of others kept preventing that.
Didn’t really mean to turn on Turkey except my friends enemy is my enemy too and I was committed to the Holland alliance. (Which made the stab all the more annoying but I guess it was a solo attempt?)
Had loads of opportunities to get in behind Japan (I think the previous Japan) but I felt that *would* signal solo attempt and turn the world against me and I couldnt afford to make any more enemies. And Japan grew and strengthened too much and the moment passed.
One of my “best” games ever, because it was always so tricky everywhere on the map for me most of the time.
Thanks everyone for the game.
09 Feb 22 UTC [Russia]:Thank you all, interesting game, it's a pity that the Turk lost his behavior and me and himself
09 Feb 22 UTC [Brazil]:Good game all
09 Feb 22 UTC [Holland]:Nah, it was not a solo attempt. It was a combination of
1) me getting stuck against Japan and
2) getting five builds on that same turn
3) making sure you could not solo
4) not wanting to stay idle elsewhere while waiting for Turkey and Britain to get eliminated
5) I just wanted to see what I would be able to achieve in the short amount of time that was left in the game
But I hope you're not too angry about it, France
09 Feb 22 UTC [Holland]:But I have to say good game, everyone. I can say that I had fun throughout the whole thing
09 Feb 22 UTC [France]:Were you thinking solo at the end if you caught me with my pants down? (And they were pretty far down). Or just fearing my solo?
09 Feb 22 UTC [France]:If US, Japan piled on I would have been in major trouble. But they would have risked a Holland solo (and perhaps a little sympathy too held them back)
09 Feb 22 UTC [China]:GG all. The first Japan was nice to me; the final one less so...
