07 Aug 21 UTC Good game all. Disappointed it had to draw here. I was really hoping Japan or England would drop their draw and narrow this. France and the Soviet Union were very cut-able.

But I want to first and foremost congratulate the Soviet player, because in my honest opinion they were the biggest reason I didn't blow up here and smash through the board. Autumn 1956 was the turning point. If I hadn't allowed that retreat to Hungary, things would've been completely different.

But it wasn't just them. Huge props to England and France as well. They were absolute pains in my ass at every possible opportunity. The move into Egypt by England was gutting. France taking Morocco similarly took the wind out of my sails. I was constantly plugging one hole or another in my line.

Japan, your patience gave you a huge opening. I'm just not sure why you never attempted to explode through it. I think you had a chance up in Russia (although never in the south).

Germany - sad to be the only one eliminated. You were my first choice of ally, but you never accepted a support of mine. I still don't know why. It would've benefited both of us to take down the Soviets.
07 Aug 21 UTC I don't know if you speak about me or the previous German player, as I replaced him. But anyway, thanks for the game.
07 Aug 21 UTC Ah, that would be the first German player. Thanks for stepping in
07 Aug 21 UTC That was an really interesting game with different allies for me.

First I want to thank my old buddy rannjohnson. You were a great allie and from the beginning my best allie. I loved your army help in Yorkshire and I liked it much more when you left my island ;-)

Goldfinger I liked your game style with a little help in Deccan to stop the strong Japanese. In 1954/1955 you took Madras but I knew it was not a big attack otherwise you would have taken Persia as well.
The french attack in 1954 was the reason to fight against Italy for me. I want to help my French allie. I saw your SM to MA but I didnt want to attack France. For one second I was thinking to make this game interesting again.

I had a few fails and bad decisions. Probably I attacked too long Russia (well played its never easy to play Russia) but their was my only chance to grow.

Japan: A really patient game of you and you got all chances at the end. I was waiting the whole time for your attack and was ready to switch sides again to play with Italy against Japan but nothing happened.
08 Aug 21 UTC Good game all!
This game is a little boring for me, I can't do anything in the second half of the game. To Britain and Italy, I don't attack Russia because I'm afraid that if Russia is eliminated, Italy will be too strong and be controlled. Russia may even just give his centers to Italy without defense. Maybe I'm a little conservative...
08 Aug 21 UTC Well done by everyone here. For me, fighting both Germany and Italy from the start really hindered my expansion. Luckily I had Dr. Helmut Kohl to help me out :) When I had that extra army and saw you could use it to block a German fleet retreat, I thought why not! You could have easily knocked my out at the end but glad you didn't! You were a great ally. I already had a stalemate line setup with Italy so attacking me potentially may have let Italy out.
