17 Jun 20 UTC | Spring, 1901: Hello let's practice |
18 Jun 20 UTC | GameMaster: Austria voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
18 Jun 20 UTC | :( we should practice the end game & it was definitely not over yet |
18 Jun 20 UTC | i need to practice the midgame more. I thought it was gg from here on and should have thought better than going to Vienna. GG to you and hopefully you join me again some time in other game modes. I've been struggling in FvA more than the others but yeah, i dont think i can come back after that. If i do, i'd say it'd take several years and good luck to do so. Not willing to risk it especially since i find it tedious |
18 Jun 20 UTC | Oh I could have moved to vie - against certain prayers who I know they play riskier; I could have moved to tyr, supported ber to sil, bur to mun. If we put ourselves in guessing positions, then we accept the risk. A successful french play must win some guesses. Especially the path I've chosen (a to pie twice maybe thrice). After the randomness of the openings choice, have to play against the other's weaknesses. You were doing well nevertheless. Look at this map and then look at who wins... http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=293395 |
18 Jun 20 UTC | i havent grasped FvA yet to fully be confident in winning guesses here but i do get where you're getting at. If you're following the cold war tournament here, i defeated Argentinean Empire with successful calculated guesses, and a lot more games with the same ideas. Im still learning how to do that here exactly |
