15 Jan 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Sup busters,

Alex "Fat Stacks" Johnson broadcasting live from the fallen rebel base in Moscow. Turns out some meth-addled santa clause was trying to turn "me" into "we" but never fear! We americans have successfully rid this classless tundra of those inconvenient ideas and welcomed the remnants as the 46th glorious addition to our empire.

It's fuckin cold up here.

31 Jan 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: My fellow leaders,

Suppose that you were sitting down at a table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is Diplomacy? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals.

As the Spring of 1906 AD draws to a close, so does the reign of the French. I have scorched them from this Earth and taken every former land of their pathetic nation, similarly banishing the English from the mainland and the accursed English Channel. The Italian Empire has grown considerably over the last few years, and with this triumphant victory, we have ‘taken the napkin.’

Proceed carefully, gentlemen. Thank you for your time.

Yours,
Presidente Funiberto “Funny” Calzone

08 Feb 20 UTC Spring, 1909: My name is Supreme Commander Holzenbach Bach… and I want to conquer Europe in the 20th century. Ever since I was young, I’ve always known that I wanted to conquer Europe. I’m partial to the Philosopher King, Alexander of Macedonia. I remember my father… used to tell me stories ‘bout Alexander of Macedonia, and how they called him the Philosopher King, because he won all the Eurasian Wars. I want to win all the Eurasian Wars too! Like the Philosopher King.

But being like my idol, Alexander of Macedonia Philosopher King, isn’t all I want to do in life! No… the game of Diplomacy has taught me many things. BWIM? What is BWIM? BWIM is the capitals I have conquered: like Berlin, Warsaw, Istanbul, and Moscow.

Hopefully one day, in my home town of Fucker Junction, I will walk down the streets, and people will say, “There goes the Master Commander!” “But why do they call him the Master Commander?” “Because he conquered Europe.” Just like my idol, the Philosopher King.

11 Feb 20 UTC Autumn, 1911: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
11 Feb 20 UTC Spring, 1912: GameMaster: Austria voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
