12 Nov 19 UTC Autumn, 7: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
13 Nov 19 UTC Autumn, 7: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
17 Nov 19 UTC Autumn, 8: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Egypt replacing "Ywl93". Reconsider your alliances.
24 Nov 19 UTC Autumn, 9: GameMaster: Carthage voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
06 Dec 19 UTC Would Persia like to explain why they mixed back from Sarmatia? I thought the game was pretty much drawn at that point.
06 Dec 19 UTC moved back*
06 Dec 19 UTC Gg, didn't stand much chance in this game. I find Carthage very difficult to play. Usually Rome and Carthage fights, but I belive the Romans have better starting position
06 Dec 19 UTC I think I've beaten Rome as Carthage before, but it might have involved an NMR. I think Rome gets an advantage because their starting position drives them toward a good position against Carthage, whereas Carthage doesn't really get that.
06 Dec 19 UTC Yep totally agreed.
06 Dec 19 UTC And I've also beaten Rome before, but thus time it just didn't work :D
06 Dec 19 UTC Last time as Rome I threw everything at Carthage and defeated him with only partial assistance from Egypt.
If Greece does not get that peace from Rome and Chersonesus is taken by Persia there is no available defensive positioning for Greece given the # of supply centres it can take.
06 Dec 19 UTC With my units at the time, I determined that it would be possible for you (Rome) to either outflank me or break through Greece's defenses in the south. I attacked Dacia with the intention of Greece disbanding and rebuilding a fleet in Sparta- but he retreated, probably paranoid that I was after his SCs. Although, looking at the map again now, I can see where my reasoning may have gone awry.
07 Dec 19 UTC I figured you didn't want the hassle not being able to communicate as you tried to push him back on land. Macedonia still needed Byzantine support.
07 Dec 19 UTC Yeah, somehow I thought Aegean Sea would be able to provide support needed... I may have thought support to Epirus would have been the next logical move. I don't remember my reasoning, I just know it had flaws. :/
