23 Nov 19 UTC | Autumn, 1460: State of the Italian Peninsula: 1460 Firstly, conflict raged on between Savoy and France, with France making small gains. But France still suffered a net loss as Venice pushed westward towards Milan, grabbing two French SCs. Further south, Genoa finally met their demise at the hand of Turkish fleets. Meanwhile, conflict seemed to breakout between Venice and Naples over territories in Croatia. Over Central Italy, Naples finished off the Pope with the unlikely ally of Florence. This doesn’t seem to mean much though, as Naples’ troops moved back to the border that Fall. Speaking of Florence, they managed to keep Ferrara at 2 SCs, even if it was two different SCs then they started with. However, Florence did lose ground to Siena, with the city of Arezzo falling into enemy hands. |
23 Nov 19 UTC | Autumn, 1460: *Florence also took the last Milanese SC, ending the reign of their longtime rival. |
23 Nov 19 UTC | Autumn, 1460: Conflict has always been rife between Venice and Naples, 100% because of Naples. Venice would like peace but Naples would not. So it shall be, I suppose. |
