I think Italy can take Austria by force. Perhaps Russia should focus on England instead

Yes. That's what Russian player did in former game when I played Italy. And Italy won due to this...

Note that other flip coins in Austria could have changed the issue... My plan was to hold Scandinavia long enough to move South. I don't see Russia could reach North Sea.
