23 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1654: GameMaster: Hohenzollern voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.

12 Nov 19 UTC Thanks for the game. Exciting match, especially in the south. Well played, everybody!
13 Nov 19 UTC Well played tobi1... thanks Mr F for the unspoken NAP; I know from previous games that the Prussians (hi Tulkas) and the Wettins always come to blows... so I played along that line hopping the Church of Rancher and mouse would recognise the potent threat that the Spaniards are in the hands of a competent player and not mix it. I have won this game with the Spanish btw so after a few years I knew the hidalgos would be leaping around ...

I love this map, even though my ancient eyes find it immensely challenging - using the big map ALL the time ... sheesh, I needed 2 day turnaround so that my eyes would be working acceptably at least once per phase ;/
13 Nov 19 UTC Yeah, I'm amazed that I held on as well as I did. Once the lines broke I thought I'd be picked apart in short order...
13 Nov 19 UTC Congratulations tobi1.
In my humble opinion I find this map a bit unbalanced, with some countries with their units together and other with theirs scattered around the board.
13 Nov 19 UTC It definitely works better as diplo than gunboat, in that respect, Tulkas.
13 Nov 19 UTC I've always liked this variant for some reason, sorry I bowed out so quickly this time!
13 Nov 19 UTC I like this map but I don't like it gunboat.
I gave up trying to expand early on. Stuck between Hohezollern and Bavaria. I'm glad I made it to the end of the game in my corner.
13 Nov 19 UTC You should keep on your corner instead of attacking my positions. Didn't notice I was only moving against Spain. :PPP
13 Nov 19 UTC Yes, but if you were weak from my meddling, Spain would win before I was consumed.
13 Nov 19 UTC Neither of your direct neighbors was attacking you at that point, instead focusing on Spain to try to prevent the solo.

If you had assisted in that, it could have been possible to push for a draw.
13 Nov 19 UTC I see Oktoberfest has left a bit of a hangover ... :}
