02 Mar 19 UTC | Autumn, 1066: Is it impossible to capture new territory or something? |
02 Mar 19 UTC | Autumn, 1066: The neutral territories are controlled by an NPC unit. You have to use a support move to take it. There are weird rules for Hadrian's Wall. Check the description on the map variant page. |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Spring, 1074: Justin, you died!? |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Spring, 1074: Man fog of war can really leave you out of the loop. |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Autumn, 1074: Yea, it's a little unnerving to have no idea the relative strength of your neighbors |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Autumn, 1074: lol, yeah. it's tough getting pounded from both sides... |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Spring, 1078: Man I wish I had not killed the English because I could really use their help right now against this Viking onslaught... |
05 Mar 19 UTC | You would both be at half the strength you are now though. |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Well, at least I killed your unit in London. |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Watching the replay, two things stand out: Justin had a rough game. In Autumn 1074, all units — Viking and Norman — support held one another. It was a kumbaya moment. |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Want to play again? |
05 Mar 19 UTC | What's going on with the other game? And yea, in a map with only three players competing for the same space the middle player is going to get screwed. |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Let's do this again. I want to try as the English now. https://vdiplomacy.com/board.php?gameID=37709 Name: Three Kings v3 Password: 123 |
05 Mar 19 UTC | I changed the settings: You can pick your country. |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Which country do you want to play Behk? |
05 Mar 19 UTC | FWIW, I've played all 3 and I enjoyed each. Norway has an advantage/disadvantage in that it's further from the action. Normandy is closer and can make a quicker landing (as I did in this game). |
05 Mar 19 UTC | Up to you Justin, any preference? |
05 Mar 19 UTC | You just played Norway, so I'll take a turn. Next time I'll try Normandy, which I haven't done yet. |
