25 Feb 19 UTC | Autumn, 1910: GameMaster: Hungary voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
03 Mar 19 UTC | Good game all. It was insane to play Hungary in this variant; Byzantium, thanks for the early alliance so I could become a power in the middle of the board in the first place. Then, thanks to Spain's alliance, I was able to try to deal with first Poland and then Israel. And then finally when Spain was pushing for a solo, thanks to Poland and Israel for eventually realizing they need to leave me alone so I can put up a wall against Spain so we could get the draw. |
03 Mar 19 UTC | It was tempting for me to continue the attack on you, Hungary, but without having a port where I could build fleets to battle with Spain, I knew I would not get anywhere eventually. Israel, even though we had a couple tense border moments, I thought our alliance worked well geographically. Spain, you were able to get the jump on attacking Ireland, and once I lost control of the North Sea, I had to find another avenue to get any SC's to survive. You did well in getting control of your side of the board! |
03 Mar 19 UTC | I was definitely trying to calculate at the end there if it was possible for Poland and I to eliminate Hungary and still force Spain into a draw, but ultimately seemed like too much of a risk. Maybe with press we could have done it, but gunboat seemed sketch. I had a blast though, good game everyone. |
03 Mar 19 UTC | Good game, thanks guys. I was hoping for a two-way draw with Hungary until Poland broke through. At that moment I had to position myself in order to not be overrun. When I saw Hungary turn his troops west, I hoped that Poland and Israel would take some SCs. The solo felt pretty far away. Had a real good thing going with Hungary for a while, thank you for that. |
