12 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1: Cool!
12 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1: This is gonna be a shit show!

I disabled private chat. No alliances. My main goal in this is for y'all to learn tactics, so would encourage you to try out moves and ask questions on what might happen. I'll probably try some weird moves as demonstrations.
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1: Does my army at byz have to stay there to capture it?
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1: The answer is yes lol
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1: Yes. The only way to gain a supply center is to have your unit on the supply center after the retreat phase of the autumn turn.

Persia and Egypt missed out on builds because they left neutral supply centers this turn.
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: If say I invade sinope and Jordan moves back from chersonesus. We bounce- does Jordan bounce back to chersonesus and thus gain it in the new count? Or does he bounce back to one of his own spaces?
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: Great question...
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: I think I would bounce back to Cher
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: Yep. He bounces to Cher and Cher will become his.

So you guys have a gamble here.

Sawyer Holds, Jordan Moves: Jordan net 0, Sawyer net 0
Sawyer Holds, Jordan Holds: Jordan net 1, Sawyer net 0
Sawyer Moves, Jordan Moves: Jordan net 1, Sawyer net 0
Sawyer Moves, Jordan Holds: Jordan net 0, Sawyer net 1
13 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: Note what Rome did from Sic to Sar: Convoyed an army between the islands using his fleet in Tyrrhenean Sea.
14 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: I dont see the blocking unit that stopped my ionian crossing
14 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: I dont see the blocking unit that stopped my ionian crossing
14 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 2: Interesting notes from last turn:
- Greece attempted to Convoy the army at Epirus to Apulia, which would've been an awesome move, but it failed because he didn't specify the correct order for the Ionian Sea unit. Ionian Sea needed to explicitly specify that it is Convoying the unit at Epirus to Apulia.
- Persia won big money in the guessing game against Greece. He's getting three builds this turn.
- I Support Held Egypt to give a chance to recover from the mistake of moving away from Cyrene last fall. That obviously wouldn't happen in a normal game, but we're learning here, and Egypt would've fallen fast due to that mistake.
14 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 3: Fack!!!
14 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 3: I'm so fucked..
14 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 3: What is going on!? How are you reading my mind!?
15 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 3: What is the retreats phase? I'm not sure I understand it
15 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 3: Matt, correct me if I'm wrong. But if you where occupying a space that someone else moved into, then you need to either disband the army or move it to an adjacent space. The retreats phase applies only to those who need to move their armies.
15 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 3: When a unit gets dislodged from a territory, it has to either disband or retreat. It can retreat to any territories neighboring it that are not occupied and were not bounced. If there are no territories it can retreat to, it is forced to disband. In this case, there are two units that got dislodged and must retreat:
- Rome's army at Vind got dislodged by Greece. This unit can retreat to Sarmatia, Rhaetia, or Venice.
- Egypt's army at Petra got dislodged by Persia. This unit can only retreat to Nabatea.

The retreats will be marked by magenta-ish arrows.
