08 Dec 18 UTC Spring, 1455: Attention, world. I come bearing a message from his holiness, Pope Nicholas V.

The heretical state of Florence has made an attack on the domain of his holiness, the Papal State. As such, the masters of Venice have offered their aid against the heretics. To facilitate this we will be bringing an army of theirs through BOL and into FLO.
08 Dec 18 UTC Spring, 1455: Tre bien, monsieur!
19 Dec 18 UTC Autumn, 1457: Good game, Milan.
19 Dec 18 UTC Autumn, 1457: thanks for nothing you pack of bastards! :P
26 Dec 18 UTC Autumn, 1458: Well, Turkey, this means war :)
26 Dec 18 UTC Autumn, 1458: Had to make things interesting
06 Jan 19 UTC Ok, stalemate lines made. Draw everyone?
06 Jan 19 UTC My Vote's in
06 Jan 19 UTC Same.
06 Jan 19 UTC Can do, well played everyone!
06 Jan 19 UTC My draw vote is in, too.
06 Jan 19 UTC Who are we waiting on?
06 Jan 19 UTC not to me xD
06 Jan 19 UTC Weird, I thought everyone was sincere about putting their draw vote up. If the game continues but keeps being in a deadlock, we can let a mod look at it eventually.
06 Jan 19 UTC Maybe there's a backstab coming then...
06 Jan 19 UTC Well, if it's not against me, I'd welcome it! :P
06 Jan 19 UTC It was me. But I slept on it and this game has been long enough. It was fun talking with you you all.
06 Jan 19 UTC It was nice playing with you all. I only see new faces. None of you I have played with earlier.

France, we had an awesome alliance going. It was nice working together with you and I am very grateful that we built so much trust that I could leave myself wide open to you in the end. In private, I had quite some fun moments, for instance when you wrote:
"Milan congratulated me on my victory... and on gaining a sub to follow me, referring to you. I want to be absolutely clear with you, Austria... I don't view you as a pawn in my game of diplomacy. (...)"
and I responded:
"(...) And I know you do not view me as a pawn (...)"
while secretly thinking: YOU are MY pawn. >:D My little French puppet. <3

Milan, I truly felt bad about what I did to you. In sincerely believe that, if I had done anything else after Venice betrayed me, I would have been eliminated, and it was only for this reason that I did what I did; I hope that we will have the fortune of allying once in an anonymous game, for this game was not suitable for it.

Venice, really well played. I was impressed by your... well, by everything you did, actually: your diplomacy, your overall strategy and your tactics, too. It is quite amazing to realize that we have been at war for literally the entirety of the game, yet we both made it to the draw. Such a thing doesn't happen often.

Turkey, well played, too. It was a pity that we couldn't make something happen in the end (like the elimination of Venice) but I respect your play.

Papacy, same. And nice roleplay you had at the beginning of the game. :)
07 Jan 19 UTC Thanks Austria. It was fun having you try and convince me to attack Venice. Though honestly I didn't want to take a side. Not just because you all surround me, though that played a factor, but because I had fun speaking with you all and making you fight each other.

Also, pretending to be the pope's messenger was really really fun for the first week but got kind of old. If I ever do a live game of diplomacy, I defiantly want to role-play the whole thing.
07 Jan 19 UTC thank you Austria for the kind words! I thought I had you with a partnership with milan but that quickly turned against me and the only reason I was able to survive was not being flanked by turkey or the papacy.

I certainly did my best this game and it was quite fun!
