17 Aug 18 UTC | i think Juggernaut needs to open Warsaw to Galicia and Moscow to Warsaw in S01. then, you can bounce in Vienna in F01. in my mind, having one less build is more beneficial to Juggernaut |
17 Aug 18 UTC | Then you lose Warsaw... |
17 Aug 18 UTC | sorry. Mos to War, yes. |
17 Aug 18 UTC | I think that Juggernaut can't win (even with the right opening) If we refer to the stalemate, Frankland wins everywhere : * Germany centers threatens Austria * Tun and most of Italy are for them (4 centers) * Scandinavia is for Juggernaut but not for long (and they are only 2 centers) So even if Juggernaut defends well at the beginning, it can win with time... My 2 cents at this stage. |
17 Aug 18 UTC | Anyway, well done ! You made the right guesses at the right time !! :-) |
17 Aug 18 UTC | https://vdiplomacy.com/board.php?gameID=33584 here is an old game of mine |
17 Aug 18 UTC | with this opening, Frankland gets 4 builds while Juggernaut gets 3. here, Frankland decided to fight for the stalemate line and defend Germany. since he didn't build a fleet in Brest, my fleet build in St-P can immediately cause problems after capturing Norway |
17 Aug 18 UTC | I agree with you that 4 v 3 for the builds is much better than 5 v 4 or 6 v 5. So making 'hold' Frankland units is a very good strategy. But this is due to their strong advantage... So, pinging them is good. And taking Nwy was a great advantage for Juggernaut. |
