09 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 260 BC.: (Antiloquax): Salve!
10 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 260 BC.: I wasn't expecting fog of war. Did I miss something?
10 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 260 BC.: The gray in the map in the variant page indicates a fog of war map - guess you missed that.
27 Jul 18 UTC GameMaster: Helleni voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
27 Jul 18 UTC Etrusci is out. Draw votes are not hidden. I've made my position clear with my vote. Hopefully Puni is with me in forcing it to happen and Romani will cave to the vote.
28 Jul 18 UTC Ah well, now the Helleni lies and stab right from the beginning makes sense. Totally true to form, eh Wormtongue?

Nicely played Romani, why did you go for a draw?
28 Jul 18 UTC Because i was on an Alliance with Helleni. But at some point he spoiled my attack to IOL to you and for me it looked like he supported an move from you (he didn't i have seen now, sorry for that)
28 Jul 18 UTC So he said i was on for solo win and break the alliance, but i don't. That was not on my mind. So i drawed the game.
28 Jul 18 UTC Good that you, at least, have some honour about keeping your word.
28 Jul 18 UTC Romani, Helleni also offered me an arrangement in the first two turns, which I accepted and I kept to that deal exactly. He broke the deal and stabbed me - ok, no big deal but he blamed me for it. He said that he believed I was going to stab him so he stabbed me first but I had no intention of doing that. But now I know the player, i am not surprised at all. he stabs everyone in every game but always makes out like he is the innocent party. In this game, he was definitely not supporting you at all, but you kept you word anyway, Good for you.
28 Jul 18 UTC Mikey99/Puni - my play in anonymous games is completely different from my non-anon games. I don't do that type of stab in non-anon games, but I definitely consider the quick stab in my repertoire of anonymous games. It was either you or Romani, and I liked the cooperation I had with Romani better, so it became you. That's unfair to say that I "stab everyone in every game" - I certainly do not do this, but I know you prefer to tell lies about me because you don't like me.

As for what happened in this game, from your comments in other games, I know you have the philosophy of going for the solo if at all possible, so at some point you were planning to either betray me for a solo or try to keep me as a friend while you soloed off of Etrusci/Romani, which to me is the same thing as a stab since it sticks me with the loss either way (I didn't know you were Puni, of course, but this is a common approach for many players). That was the very tactic I planned with either Romani or you - not to stab one of you, but to stab one and try to solo while staying friends with other. While Romani showed continued cooperation with me and no competition for territory, when I saw you with the army in CAR, your plans to go for SEG were clear - which was a hostile act to me since it was done without any communication or ok from me, and would put me in a perilous position with you by (1) putting your units in aggressive position towards me and (2) cutting off any other gains for me without attacking Romani or you. So I had to pick one of you to stab at that point because you forced the issue. So I decided I should strike first against you before I was put in a disadvantageous position while you surged to the lead on the board, while figuring I could be balanced with Romani. I know you say that you were going to play friendly, but staying friendly while attempting to solo (your likely plan) isn't friendly to me.

StefanMann/Romani - the reason I spoiled the attack on IOL is that you were cruising to a solo win, so it was a desperate effort to flip sides and slow you down before that happened. Although you indeed committed to the three way draw in the end (to my surprise - no two way draw is possible), you actually would have won if I had not retreated into OLB on the last move - if you had covered OLB with Mare Corsicvm, or simply not attacked Mare Sicvlvm, you would have won this game. I feel like you actually should have gone for the win - it was in your grasp and deserved. Thanks for the good alliance anyways.
28 Jul 18 UTC A blown move in Autumn 257 hurt me too, sending my MS fleet to MES instead of MSA (which would have worked), with LOC advancing to MS. That's the danger of these fog maps where you cannot preview and you get similar named territories mixed up. I might have had an interesting end-game with Romani if not for that missed pace.
29 Jul 18 UTC Blah blah blah from Wormtongue as always. Long winded self-justifications for being one of the dirtiest players I've ever come across. How do you know I like to stab going for the solo? MY problem is that I often DON'T do this when I should and you know if from that game when I should have and you turned everyone against me anyway. You stab and lie and deceive yet somehow manage to convince yourself that you're doing it justifiably,

You stabbed me in this game, sent me long messages about how it was all due to my moves (- but I'd kept our deal - then I fought you off, then you offered me a new deal which I know now to be a stab of your other deal. You are the total deceiver, always with long whisperings about how you're not deceiving. Slypups, you are the total WORMTONGUE and your behaviour in this this game is utterly consistent with how you are in non-Anon games. Lie utterly - stab - blame the other guy
29 Jul 18 UTC Right, so according to you, when Romani was positioned for a win, instead of betraying him and trying to work with you to stop him from winning, I should have just let Romani win? That makes no sense. Call it a betrayal if you want, but that's fully justified since the objective here is first to solo, second to draw, and third to survive - at least those are my objectives in anon games. In public games I sometimes go in for the draw from the start and only attempt a solo if the opportunity happens to fall my way. My anon and non-anon approaches are different - but that doesn't fit your world view, so go ahead and make up some untruth that you prefer. I'm intentionally not playing with you anymore in non-anon games Mikey99 because of your vitriol and failure to follow the site rules to not meta-game against me (and I hope you will not join non-anon games I'm already in). I'm sure we'll still encounter each other in anon games, though, and maybe someday you'll realize I'm not what you think when you like the way I play in one of those not knowing it is me.
