29 Jun 18 UTC | GG well played everyone |
29 Jun 18 UTC | i am disappointed, drano. You kill your good ally, just to replace me with the turks and dont even try a solo run... |
29 Jun 18 UTC | Well I appreciate that choice. Thanks Bavaria! Good game. |
29 Jun 18 UTC | On the contrary, I considered it. I needed 6 more SCs. I was confident in taking Croatia/Budapest if I wanted to, putting me at 22. After that though, my options were limited. All Turkey had to do was retreat Budapest/Croatia, and choose to disband fleets that were no longer needed, and it would have been a 2 v 1 where I didn't see 4 more SCs to gain. St. Petersburg was locked up, especially with the move to Finland. Kiev would have been easily defended from either Black Sea or Yesidan (if I dislodged Podolina). Then his other 5 armies (retreating Budapest/Croatia + Greece, Moldavia, and Belg) only had to protect a line further back which would have taken a significant amount of time to crack, during which I would have been faced with assaults in the entirety of France, and also up from Iberia, and also along the entire northern coastline. The lack of ability to quickly build fleets is a big issue for Bavaria. If you don't get going with them right away, you're bound to be at a massive disadvantage later on. A build anywhere option would have made the chance much more realistic. |
29 Jun 18 UTC | keeping me alive longer to break possible resistance from turkey and then stab me would have made more sense. england never had the capability to strongly threaten you (and vice versa). you centers had to come from me and from turkey. by stabing me at the point you did and aligning with turkey you basically put the first bricks to closing that option. of course, having kept me alive longer, chances would have risen that i stab you. there were actually thoughts to do so the turn you did, as i felt extremely uncomfy with you bringing troops into position. |
