14 Jul 17 UTC | Spring, 1902: GameMaster: England voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Congratulations Tantrumizer, well played ;-) |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Congrats, Tantrumizer. At least, I survive this. |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Well that was a beat down......Congratulations, tamtrumizer.....well played indeed I suppose that it would have helped if Germany didn't spend the whole game running from his attacker at my expense. |
25 Jul 17 UTC | geez that really was a total annihilation |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Germany, that opening. You basically destroyed me with it, and gave the game to Russia. |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Also, this game is invalid. The map is bugged. France was allowed into Belgium when they shouldn't have been in the fall. |
25 Jul 17 UTC | It ain't a bug, I just looked up your orders: The army at Yorkshire move to Belgium via convoy. (fail) The fleet at North Sea move to Norway. The fleet at English Channel convoy to Belgium from Yorkshire. (fail) You can't directly convoy from Yorkshire with solely your unit in English Channel. It would've only worked directly with your Naval unit in North Sea. Or if you had used both North Sea and English Channel for Convoy (yet that wouldn't make any sense as solely your north sea fleet would've sufficed ;-) ) |
25 Jul 17 UTC | I was just about to say, looked at it and you can't use EC to convoy York |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Thanks all - that was a quick game. I usually struggle with Russia in gunboat, but everything seemed to go perfectly for me in this game. I had 11 centres at the end of 1903. I guess it helped that France and Italy were pressuring my neighbours, but I was surprised that nobody voted Draw to signal to the others that there was a big Russian bear approaching. :-) |
25 Jul 17 UTC | I hoped that not blocking Galicia in the first year would grant me some Russian credit in the year after (expecting the classic full pressure on Trieste by Italy). Of course it was the smart move to take advantage of that by taking Budapest. Yet, it's exactly what we discussed in last game. how i love playing Austria, haha. |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Ah yes, true - you got Austria again! It's always hard if Italy sees you as prey. And I know then I play Austria and Italy attacks, all I want is REVENGE on them. |
25 Jul 17 UTC | Sorry "...I know WHEN I play Austria..." not then... |
