If we're struggling for players to meet the 10 players needed for this variant, we could always do one of the other ones. http://vdiplomacy.net/variants.php I've had my eye on "1600" for a while - it's a good way to hash out a different part of history. "Fall of the American Empire IV" might be fun too.
