13 Feb 16 UTC | Spring, 1901: Info: This is a choose your country game. |
20 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Took a punt that you go Kie-Den. Didn't quite work out for me. Lol. |
21 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1903: I actually did not expect to really get into Munich ... just wanted to keep you out of it :-) |
22 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1904: Stuffed up my orders then. Nap was supposed to go to Tyn. I was just congratulating myself earlier on not making an misorders in these games I am playing with you (I terrible for misorders). I have made some dumb moves like last turn, but no misorders until now. This is your game. I'll play on though, rather than concede. I prefer survives to defeats. |
23 Feb 16 UTC | Autumn, 1904: this one might be mine, but the other one is yours |
29 Feb 16 UTC | This one really hurts ;-) Congrats for both games. |
29 Feb 16 UTC | Thanks for the game sevyas. I am quite surprised how that one turned out. It turns out that my position was not quite a bad as I first thought, although I think you did manage to win the advantage there for a while. |
29 Feb 16 UTC | One of the reasons I thought my position was lost after you took Munich was due to an error I made counting SCs. At one point I wrote down all the SCs I controlled and the SCs I need to capture to win. The things I overlooked Rumania, which made me think that even with Mun and Ber under my control I needed to capture all the way north to St. Petersburg, whereas in fact I only needed to capture as far north as Moscow. That misunderstanding led me to take that unnecessarily risky move where I lost Munich. |
29 Feb 16 UTC | typo... The *thing is* I overlooked Rumania (as in I forgot to include it in the count). |
29 Feb 16 UTC | It was only in the last year or so that I took another look and thought "hang on, I might have a small chance after all, so long as I hold Berlin. However I had to be fast because given enough time France can eventually force Berlin. France can also force St P given enough time. |
29 Feb 16 UTC | So had I not won on this particular turn, I don't think I could have won at all. |
29 Feb 16 UTC | It was a very tough game for me. I have no doubt the next time we play the tables could be easily turned. Thanks. |
