24 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: (jrrtolkiennerd): I kind of feel bad for anyone who starts off with Pisa or Siena on this map...
24 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: (Chumbles): Add France to that; you start the game with a more powerful, guaranteed enemy.
24 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: (mouse): Yeah, I'd honestly prefer Pisa, Siena or Ferrara to France. France effectively only gets one unit anyway, and they have to spend their first year pushing to keep it, rather than going for a second.

(in before I roll France)
25 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: (Yari3): Out of curiosity, so does the game start whenever we get 12 players, or on Jan 1st?
25 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: (jrrtolkiennerd): I believe it starts when we get 12 players, otherwise the board expires on Jan 1st
25 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: (mouse): Yeah, starts immediately if we hit 12, else expires if we don't hit 12 by the deadline.
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: Hi, I'm your twelfth player :). Good luck!
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: I got 2 sc wtf?! How do I even...
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: And only one unit, this is stupid to even try
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: Oh dear, Siena. Nice place to visit, wouldn't want to... oh dear, oh dear.
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: To those with one or two centers.....embrace the challenge of Diplomatic endeavors and make the right alliances. You can end up in a draw from where you are...unless you are French.
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: -Stayin' Alive begins playing in the background-

Yeah I'd say the main negative about this map is the uneven distribution of power, as the creator was trying for historical accuracy. But you never know, some of the smaller powers might end up surviving long enough to play a kingmaker between the bigger powers
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: My proudest diplomacy game of all time was starting as Siena and ending up in a final 3 draw with Venezia and Napoli. Don't underestimate Siena!
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: Name of this game?
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: Italian Job:

27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: I founded it. Well played! I think you were'nt big obstacle in their way.
27 Dec 15 UTC Spring, 1454: Remind me not to piss off Ferrara then
