Spring, 1861: I played the original in College a lot. But that was 20+ years ago, so I'm sure I've forgotten everything I knew. No need to worry about me. |

Spring, 1861: am I missing something? the intro page at http://www.vdiplomacy.com/intro.php shows boats/tanks and full country names. the map I'm seeing is almost only showing 2- or 3-letter abbreviations for countries. is there another map we can access?? I tried popping it out but it's just the same map. |

Spring, 1861: oh I see, we're not playing the standard diplomacy map. for those looking up acronyms, the page is here: http://www.variantbank.org/results/rules/i/imperial2.htm |

Autumn, 1861: [Russia]:Hey All, looking at the orders that were placed and failed, I recommend people review the rules regarding supporting units. Go CHAR! |

Autumn, 1861: [Russia]:One other reminder, to "capture" a supply center (marked with white circles and squares) you must hold them at the end of the Autumn Phase (i.e. this turn). |

Autumn, 1861: [Prussia]:Note also: "New units may be created at any of the player's unoccupied home supply centers". On this board, those are the supply centers made with a square. So if you conquer 10 territories, but only have 5 home supply centers empty, you can only build 5 new units. |

Autumn, 1861: [USA]:...and that is only if the home supply centers are unoccupied. |
