Since it's been one full day, the poll is hereby closing.
We had an absolutely fantastic 0.25% turnout, of which 64% voted leave. Based on this clear mandate of the people, I handed Zultar a letter this morning triggering Article 50 and starting vExit.
As a result, we have until April 1st 2019 to stop using the PHPDiplomacy code, or work out a deal with webDiplomacy regarding its use. Obviously webDiplomacy is not particularly happy about our leaving, so negotiations won't be easy, but we'll see what we can do.
On another note - unfortunately, it appears that '350 million variants' figure may have been slightly fabricated. The real figure appears to be closer to 0.05 variants per week. However, the referendum's been and gone now so we're not going to have another one with correct information.
In other news, the value of the vDiplomacy Point has dropped significantly - the exchange rate has changed from 0.045 vDiplomacy Points to the webDip Point to 0.125 vDip Points to the webDip Point. We are confident, however, that the value will begin to rise in the near future, so we advise not spending your vDip points abroad for the next few months.
Good luck all! This is not going to be an easy time for us, but we will make the best of it. After all, vExit means vExit!
And also, happy April Fools :)
