Hello, I would like to join some turnament very much. I always dreamed of playing Imperial2 tournament, that could be very interesting. Did someone tried, yet?

I'm definitely up for starting the Aberration series.

About randomization of power allocation - I've got a piece of code that can optimize this based on inter-power relationships (e.g. A is close to IRT but far from EF - T is close to ARI but far from EG, etc.). What the code does is to optimize the power allocations so that all inter-player relationships are fairly equal (i.e. I'll be neighbour with Samj roughyl as many times as I'll neighbour Doc, etc.). If you want to try this I'll be happy to put the optimizer online this weekend - so that someone (a non-playing mod?) can launch the games and make balanced power allocations that aren't as easily deduced as the FoW allocations...

If there is a way I can help with allocating the powers, Dr R, let me know. I'm not a mod though. I know I definitely preferred when there was no way of figuring out (at least till near the end) who was who in these tournaments.

Could I just PM everyone and tell them which games to join as which power? d-ice's PowerSplittingOptimizer (tm) could help?

I misspoke above, it was 2 starting initially and one every 2 weeks beyond that. Leif, were you factoring in that time frame?

I'd slightly prefer waves of 3 (one wave per month?) to 1/fortnight, if only because the meta is slightly more interesting with several games at the same (or close enough) turn count.

But yeah, as long as it's "everyone joins straight up, and games are unpaused on schedule" rather than waiting on people to join every time, whatever drip feed is fine.

I don't mind playing all at once. But waves of three or 5+4 would also work.

3 at a time works for me, I can be flexible!

We need to replace Mr. Fink. LPE and uber are too short on points to join even two games, so we'll need to find a replacement that has points or agree to drop the buy-in way down and recreate the games.

If we go in waves of 3, would everyone be OK starting each wave at 3-week intervals?

I will play the Aberration tournament if you need someone.

What's the buy-in for how many games on Aberation?

Better yet, if Doc would be the GM, who is interested in an Ancient Med gunboat 5x5 tournament?

I might be YCHTT ;-) By the time such a tournament would be up and running quite some of my other games should be finished and it's an IA map, which makes it quite more enjoyable to play.

Major question is: Would Doc be up for running another tournament? He's at least running 4 tournaments now (though FoW is almost finished) and is of course at least participating in one other game (Furnace of Affliction).

I wouldn't want it to start before September anyhow as I'm headed out for Labor Day. But if we could organize it after I hear if Doc is willing to act as TD/GM and start it some time after 9/5...
