09 Jan 12 UTC | Spring, 1648: Question1: what's the difference between a black dot SC and one within a beige square. Question2: Red squares are, I assume, imperial cities. And they are both an SC and an area? Question3: Which color is which country--Austria is of course the brown blob, pink is me, Saxony/Wettin, Bavaria is green, Spain I assume is yellow--but who are the Church, Palatine and Hohenz...?? |
09 Jan 12 UTC | Spring, 1648: Answer1: Those with the beige square are not yet taken. Answer2: I think so. Answer3: I'm (Hohenzollern) Dark blue, The Ecclesiastic Lands are light blue and Palatine is brown. ;) |
09 Jan 12 UTC | Spring, 1648: By the way: have a nice game everyone. |
18 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1650: What does pause mean? If I press pause what happens? As I see it nothing happens (have made a small test and klicked the pause button as you may have noticed). |
18 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1650: Pause means that you vote for a pause. The game is paused if all other player agree and vote pause as well. Its the very same with draw and cancel. ;-) |
18 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1650: I see :-) |
22 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1651: GameMaster: This game has been moved back to Autumn, 1651 |
22 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1651: (Oli): I fixed a borderissue and resetted the turn to the last retreat-phase. |
22 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1651: Thank you Oli. FYI there was an illegal move due to a map definition error (in the borderRawData array I assume). A horse moved three areas instead of the allowed two. As the game has been rolled back, all retreats have to be redone. |
22 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1651: What move? |
22 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1651: A of Bremen to D of Mecklenburg was three areas: Bremen->Luneburg/HolGlu->Lauenburg/Brandenburg->Mecklenburg |
22 Jan 12 UTC | Autumn, 1651: The two area moves increase the error risk in the game files, so there may be other illegal moves listed as possible in the moves drop-down lists. |
05 Feb 12 UTC | Wettin (pink colour) End Of Game statement Never played this before, but looked fun and tricky with the horses. Main reason I was able to ever get this far was getting rid of Hohenzollern (blue) from my back. I allied with Bavaria (green) one which for some reason left the game. Fortunately Bavaria two also allied and Austria (brown) could be eliminated. While I systematically picked off Hohen to avoid him building horses Spain (yellowish), Palatinate (another shade of brown) and Ecclesiastic (azure) fought each other over the very rich pickings in the south-west. That was fortunate as it gave me time to build. My strategy was to build horses and to advance in a closed formation blocking (as much as possible) other powers from jumping behind my lines. (Alas I made one mistake at the end and suddenly I had that Palatinate horse behind the lines.) As to game progressed i realized that if I wanted to solo I had to attack Bavaria (with whom I had a deal to share the win). My last chance to do that was when Bavaria reached 14, so i took a risk and attacked him, fortunately it went so well that he had to disband one unit while I built, thus giving me a better chance. It is sad that Bavaria gave up in the end, because it is a very strong defensive position that would have forced me to attack Ecclesiastic to get the necessary centers to win. And had Bavaria defended it would not have been given that I reach 28 this last turn. I was also helped a lot by the alliance with Ecclesiastic, that seem to have had an axe to grind with both Bavaria and Palatinate. Enjoyed playing with BESA. P essentially never spoke and H got mad at me after my second 1SC stab at him. |
