Spring, 1903: When I am in Dublin I am going to give you The Orange Box for PS3. It has the Half Life games Ive mentioned above and Portal 1. Id advise playing Half Life one simply because its fantastic but you dont really need it to understand the sequels. You can always just wiki it. |

Spring, 1904: It just has an incredibly detailed story line. Its a complete world. The gameplay is standard FPS but it practically invented puzzles for the modern FPS. Just everything about it is awesome. I dont think Ive ever played a bad Valve game. |

Autumn, 1904: Its because nearly all of their employees are people who modded Counter-strike or Half Life 1 and Valve said "these guys are good, lets hire em" so they know what gamers want. |
