05 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2012: Good luck to everybody :)
06 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2012: My Cairo fleet can go to Luxor. I'm not quite sure I fully understand this variant. Can one of you explain me why that is? If I was to guess it'd be because of the river going down all the way to LV. Does that mean fleets can go on all provinces along these rivers and considered coastal provinces?

Thanks
06 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2012: South Africa's the ultimate authority on this, but that adjacency is because of the way rivers work. Fleets can move along rivers and across them, so your fleet in Cairo can go to Luxor as well as Hur (wc). You can send your fleet all the way up to LV if you want.

Click on "Africa" just below Pot: 80 to view all the special rules of this variant.

I hope this helps!
06 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2012: Thank you. Most helpful!
06 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2012: Rivers are navigable, yeah
08 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: I'll be honest, pretty sure no one would ever sail a fleet to LV, but I thought navigable rivers would make the map a little more interesting and allow the fleets to do more. :p
08 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: Sailed a fleet into Kayes once in this map. They're great invasion tools. Delta river regions gotta watch out the sea ;)
08 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: I must say though, once you have a fleet in a river, your options are quite limited and your intentions a lot more obvious. Not sure getting a fleet in a river would benefit much but I guess it's kind of cool that you can. Keeps provinces on the river on edge! Btw, great variant!
08 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: It's also useful for planning ahead. I might build a fleet in Dire Dawa so I can take Mogadishu and go out to the coast from there.
08 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: Right. Makes sense. Otherwise you would be landlocked. Neat!
17 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2014: As you can all see though, I am not the best player, even on my own map xD
14 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2017: My apologies for the NMR. I've been pretty busy with schoolwork as it is.

Anyways, this belongs in global. Nigeria and DRC are proving to be incredibly strong allies and currently control over 44% of all the supply centers on the board. Together, they are almost impossible to stop.

Morocco, Madagascar, and Egypt, out of necessity, I implore that we cease our infighting and focus all our energies on this existential threat before it is too late.
14 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2017: Yea Madagascar, move out of Mogadishu!!!
05 Oct 17 UTC Spring, 2020: GameMaster: Madagascar voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
